University of Basrah Celebrates the Honoring of Distinguished Researchers and Faculty Members

The University of Basrah celebrated today, Tuesday, September 8, the honoring of a distinguished group of its researchers and esteemed faculty members in recognition of their outstanding achievements and distinguished scientific research. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Haider Abdul-Dhad.

The ceremony was attended by a distinguished group of government and academic figures, as well as representatives of colleges and educational institutions in the governorate, in addition to college deans, department heads, and a number of faculty members and researchers.

In his speech, the Deputy Minister expressed his pride in honoring this distinguished group of dedicated scholars and researchers at the University of Basrah, praising the university’s long-standing historical and academic legacy and its leading contributions to supporting scientific and cultural advancement.

For his part, the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Aqeel Fadhil Al-Dahan, emphasized the importance of this recognition in encouraging academic excellence, noting that the honorees have achieved significant scientific accomplishments and published their research in prestigious international journals and scholarly databases.
